Sync in Final Cut Pro
Final Cut Pro offers seamless multicam editing with timecode sync.
Import Your Files
- Open Final Cut Pro
- Create or open a library
- Import all PixelRecorder files (File > Import > Media)
- Files appear in Browser with timecode
Create Multicam Clip
- Select all clips to sync in Browser
- Go to File > New > Multicam Clip
- Configure settings:
- Name: Enter clip name
- Use Audio for Synchronization: Uncheck
- Sync clips using: Timecode
- Click OK
Verify Sync
- Double-click multicam clip to open in Viewer
- Show Angle Viewer (View > Show in Viewer > Angles)
- Check alignment of all sources
- Sources should be frame-accurate
Edit Multicam
Angle Viewer
Enable Angle Viewer:
- View > Show in Viewer > Angles
- See all camera angles at once
- Click to switch during playback
Switching Angles
During Playback:
- Play timeline
- Click angle in Angle Viewer
- Cut is created automatically
After Playback:
- Blade at cut points
- Select clip section
- Change angle via right-click or shortcut
Audio Handling
Include Audio with Video
When creating multicam:
- Audio follows video angle by default
- Switch audio independently if needed
Separate Audio Tracks
For BWF files:
- Import with video files
- Include in multicam clip creation
- Timecode ensures perfect sync
- Route audio as separate component

- Frame rate: Same as source
- Resolution: Match or scale

- Screen
- Camera A

Troubleshooting
Clips Won’t Sync
Check timecode:
- Select clip in Browser
- Open Inspector (Window > Inspector)
- Check timecode field
Verify frame rates:
- All clips same rate
- Project matches clips
Wrong Sync
If angles don’t align:
- Check start timecode in PixelRecorder
- Verify recordings started together
- Manually adjust sync point
