Installation
PixelRecorder is available exclusively on the Mac App Store.
Download
- Open the Mac App Store
- Click Get to download PixelRecorder
- Once installed, open PixelRecorder from your Applications folder
Grant Permissions
PixelRecorder requires certain system permissions to function:
Screen Recording Permission
- When prompted, click Open System Preferences
- Navigate to Privacy & Security > Screen Recording
- Enable the toggle next to PixelRecorder
- Restart PixelRecorder
Camera Permission (Optional)
If you want to record your camera alongside your screen:
- Open System Preferences > Privacy & Security > Camera
- Enable the toggle next to PixelRecorder
Microphone Permission (Optional)
If you want to record audio from your microphone:
- Open System Preferences > Privacy & Security > Microphone
- Enable the toggle next to PixelRecorder
Verify Installation
After granting permissions, launch PixelRecorder. You should see the main recording interface with options to:
- Select screen or window to record
- Choose camera input
- Configure audio sources
